There are many ways to donate to Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation including Cash, Gifts-In-Kind, Gifts of Time or through Planned Giving. Read below to determine how you would like to support health care in the Bruce Peninsula area.
Cash gifts are always gratefully accepted and help support an approved equipment needs list. This list changes annually as our needs change. Cash gifts enable the Hospital to continue to provide the high quality care for which they are known. Gifts from donors are used for patient care equipment, renovations and such special services as staff development bursaries and pastoral care for the Lion's Head and Wiarton Hospitals.
These gifts are non-cash gifts you would like to donate to Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation and include securities, real estate, and tangible property such as equipment. Items are evaluated and appraised in order to confirm their value, and a tax receipt is provided to you.
Volunteering is a special donation that compliments the staff. From time to time the Foundation requires volunteers to assist in conducting special events. If you would like to volunteer, call the office and we will match you to a upcoming event.
Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to honour the memory of a special person in your life and are very important to BPHS Foundation. Individual donations of $25 and above are eligible for tax receipts, and as a courtesy, we will notify the next-of-kin that you have made a donation in memory of their loved one. Donations may be given directly at funeral homes, by cheque via the mail, by phone (519) 534-5856 to Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation using Visa or MasterCard, or of course, in person at our office, located in the Allied Professional Building next to GBHS - Wiarton Hospital. Please provide contact information for the next-of-kin you would like notified.
By donating through a monthly program using your Visa/ Mastercard or postdated cheques you can make a thoughtful investment in your local health care facilities. Simply let us know the amount of your monthly donation and the form of payment you wish to use.
These gifts allow you to "Share and Care" by honouring an anniversary, birthday, retirement or any other occasion for a special person in your life with a donation to our Foundation. BPHS Foundation will be happy to send a note explaining your special gift to the individual you are honouring.
